What factor would influence your choice the most?

I would choose neither!
I would instead be a serf in either kingdom, and be happy, with my lot in life.
To be a King, I would lose touch with the "little people" who make up the Kingdom, and I would probably be arrogant, and hard to live with, as those who rule, think they are "better", than those who serve.
I choose to be like JESUS CHRIST, who was a mighty KING of the Jews, yet chose to "serve" instead of take HIS KINGDOM on Earth, and instead reigned in Heaven instead, over Heaven and Earth.
If there was a third option, I would choose to be a serf, as they have a "happier life" than those who are stuck in a mold, and must uphold the "Monarchy"...

Emperor definetly, because of all the cute Japanese girls and Emperor sounds more authoritive.
