I'm having a lot of trouble w/ my fouls shots. I hit the rim or the backboard everytime, but its either off to the side a lil bit, it's a ringer and doesn't go in, or it bounces off the backboard and comes flying back at me. I think my elbow is popping out when it goes to the side, but what else am I doing wrong

Work on your form. Easy drill: start a foot away from the basket. Get the ball in just shooting hand. With your elbow square and fingers spread to properly shoot the ball, take a shot by flicking your wrist and following through. Ball should have proper spin and everything this way. When you're consistently making the basket step back further from the rim. Repeat. Add legs into the drill when you reach about 10 feet.

Will take a while, but you'll have great form and be shooting at least 75% from the line.

There is a line that goes in a box make sure you aim for the center of the box. pay attention to your shots you make also. don't worry about anything or anyone around you saying anything. Just focus on your shotting. Good luck in the future.

are you flicking your wrists and following through on your shot? make your lead foot (the foot of your dominant side) is ahead..when your going up for a shot bend your knees as far as u feel like and release...also try arching your shots..good luck

this might not help at all, but one thing that my coach always taught me was to thing while your shooting that your grabbing the rim. it's kinda weird...but it works for me cause when i shoot i just imagine that i'm grabbing it. don't forget to follow through with the ball too. hope that helps a little. =)

it would be hard to say what exactly is going wrong without watching your shooting form. have you tried arcing the ball more?
