Make sure you look around for open jobs in moster.com and hotjobs.com
Also use Yahoo! Yellow pages and check out local chamber of commerce website to find small local companies.
You can also find a job agency in the local area to find you a job. They usually do it for free, only charge the company who's going to hire you.
You can also check some company employee numbers and revenue information in hoovers.com.
Hope it helps.

Simple. You obviously have access to the internet. Do a search for your career field on Yahoo Yeloow Pages for that area. See if any of the companies have websites. If not, note their addresses and phone numbers. Call them, ask to speak to the person in charge of hiring. Get your "foot in the door" so to speak.
Happy hunting.

Create an account with CareerBuilders.com. You can create a resume or post one of your own. And refine your career search to any where in the country. Good Luck.

One of the best ways is to go to KansasCityStar .com and then in the location column put what city you are looking for a job in.
