BC was not used in the Julian Calenders until after AD 525, so the question is "absurd" or nonsense.

Such a roman coin does not exist.

Roman coins never had Julian dates, were dated according to the year of reign of the current Roman Emperor.

55BC how did they know it was BC it was only decided BC was going to be the years before Christ, that obviously happen at year 1 or 0

Take it to a coin collector, don't offer to sell it though, he might say it's worth nothing.

Check it out on eBay too

Do a seek on ebay and notice what fees come again in the event that they are low dont do it circulate to a coin broking which you will discover many by potential of the skill of google and get them checked. in my view identity get them checked by potential of a coin broking besides as ebay would nicely be fake values each so often as human beings use it to seek for deals.

Hi.. I am a coin dealer. Your coin is a FAKE. No coins during that time period had dates on them, or even denominations....and even if they did put dates on the coins then (which they didn't), how would they know to put 55 BC on something when no one knew who Christ was yet? He wasn't born yet!

If someone sold this to you as real, then they are guilty of fraud.

Hope this helped.

I dont think it's real or worth anything. BC denotes before Christ and how can they mint a coin saying BC when they didnt know that Christ was going to be? sorry .

Hello Joe!
Nice trick!
Did you see how smart Greeks and Roman were?
They predicted and organized promptly the change of calendar era: BC - 0 - AD!

Nothing.
REAL roman coins did'nt have dates on them, just the face of the emperor.
You've been cheated.
