about 14 days after sex you may be able to get a result on an early pregnancy test. Laboratory based pregnancy tests are considered to be 98-99% accurate. Home based tests are considered to be somewhat less accurate. To get the most accurate result it helps to wait at least one week from your first missed period before doing a pregnancy test. If your test is positive, or if you believe that you are pregnant, an examination by your doctor will confirm it so you can be sure.

Actually, if you've ever taken a pregnancy test before, it tells you right on the instructions it can be taken the day after you were expecting your period. But I would wait a week or so just to make sure it's a little more accurate. When you wake up in the morning and go pee, do it then. You get better results from your first morning pee. But your best bet would be to get a blood one done at the doctor's. They are more accurate.
