This must have to do with the kid that fell to his death the other day. Totally tragic. Completely unnecessary. No, I would not let my 6 yr old child ride alone. They get too excited and won't sit still.

Depends on how big and safe the ferris wheel was. If they want to ride alone and it looks safe yes, otherwise I'd say scoot over and ride with them. At 6 years old they should be able to take direction to sit still and hold on.

yes. i know i would because a ferris wheel is operated by people who take the responsibilty of making sure the riders are "cared" for.
unless your 6 yr old loves to jump out of moving objects or just cant keep still for a while, then of course its okay. dont worry about it.

ARE YOU CRAZY?!?! First they dont listen in the first place and what are you supposed to do from down on the ground if they start standing up?! Hope and pray they dont fall out! These days children at the age of 4-7 are treated like they are 9-14! Go with the kid!

No!! THAT IS WHY WE CALL THEM CHILDREN. They are not adults they can barely wipe their own butts at that age! They do not have the ability to understand the end results of their actions their brains just don't work that way yet!

Personal opinion I read that and thought did someone want the insurance money or what! Sorry about all of you who said yes but you need a reality check!

If I were too scared to get on the ferris wheel with her then, yes.

ABSOLUTELY NOT! I was outraged when I read about that. The parent and the ride controller should both be held resposible for that tragedy. It just makes me sick how parents today let children at such a young age have so much freedom. It's absurd!!!!!
