one of my friend claimed :when you sit before a computer for a long time ,your skin will be browned by the radiation of computer screen,like be browned by the sun.

is he right?

ps:is there any grammar mistake in my answer?

No. The kind of radiation that causes tanning (and sunburn) is ultraviolet radiation. I have never heard of a properly functioning monitor that gives off that kind of radiation. Radio frequency, yes, if you are using a cathode ray tube (do they even make those things anymore?), plus obviously whatever visible light the monitor puts out, but neither of those have any effect on your skin.

P.S. You have made several grammatical errors. Among them are your failure to employ capitals at the beginning of a sentence, use of the singular "friend" instead of the plural "friends" (or alternatively, the use of "one of" instead of simply saying my friend), the use of a colon instead of the word that to indicate a paraphrase, the lack of spaces after your commas, and the sentence fragment "like be browned by the sun." Further, it should be "Are there any mistakes?" not "Is there any mistake."

Sounds like your friend sat in font of a dumb *** machine cause it will NOT turn your skin any darker than what you are
