Have you tried Mr Clean magic eraser? It might be a lot of work depending on the size of your floor but it would get rid of the dirt.

I have a white linoleum floor also, and it's not that hard to keep up with. ***** { Kinda Tricky } *****
Try using bleach to bring out the white, Then go get a floor polish and it's time to get down on your hands and knees, The polish don't have to cost alot. it's all in the way to take care of it. put the polish strait polish only with a dry cloth.it takes awhile to dry Don't no one walk across it until it is all the way dry... Don't put the polish down each time you do the floor wait until it starts looking discolored again.
You will now have to strip the floor to the point of NO polish.
and start from the beginning... Point again with the Hands and knees
************DON'T use Comet on it again..............for nothing
when doing all this in these steps, it looks new again
white is well worth it. very clean looking & BRIGHT
Hope this helps
************************Good Luck****************************

Vinegar and water. I know it sounds smelly and crazy, but it truly works. My friend cleans homes on the "upper side" of town and all the elderly women insists she do this and I tried it on my floor and counters and WoW!

If you have already used Comet on the floor ,you have ruined it, because it's an abrasive and you scratched it !
