My son was born on October 23rd....Some horoscopes say he is a Libra and some say he's a scorpio. His personality leans more toward the Libra....he's flirtatious and outgoing. How do you really know for sure which one he is?

Real horoscope charts are based on your birthday, birth time (hour and minute am/pm) and birth place, (longitude and latitude along with time zone). Contrary to popular belief, everyone has their own unique horoscope chart, columns in magazine and newspapers are basically for entertainment purposes and are only based on the sun sign.
If your son was born on the cusp, (which is the date the sun moves out of one sign and into another sign), you must to a real chart based on hour and minute to see what sign the sun was in at the TIME of day your son was born. It doesn't always change signs at the same time of day every month.
If you are born on the cusp you are NOT part of both signs, you are still one or the other. There may be other influences in your chart that cause you not to act like your normal sun sign.
Every one also has a rising sign and moon sign that can alter your personality. Or a planet in the 1st house of your chart that affects the personality along with other things.
Go to www.astro.com, click on free charts, do a click natal chart for your son. You will need the birth date, birth time (get this off the birth certificate if you do not know it), and the birth place. Then click on things on the chart to get the meanings. Or do a free natal report that gives you the meanings.

He's on the cusp, so he probably has the characteristics of both. However, it's usually not common knowledge, that sun sign is only part of the equation, when determining personality with astrology. There are several other planets involved. The three main parts of an astrological chart are Sun, Moon, and Rising (Ascendant). He may be a Scorpio Sun, with Libra Moon and Libra Rising, or some other combination. Or, he might have Sun in 7th house (house ruled by libra). Astrology is very complicated. For the exact placement of the sun, you need his exact birth time and birthplace. Well alot of people don't believe in horoscopes. I, myself don't believe in mine very much. I believe a little more in tarot cards. But there are certain specifics about the sign that you might believe. I don't really believe in the montly or daily horoscopes but when you look at your astrological sign it gives specifics about what your sign is. For example i'm a capricorn and it says i'm blunt, critcal, and incredibly stubborn. But going into more specifics it says although I look like a risk taker I really have calculated the outcome in my head. Is it true? I would say I do that a lot. There are going to be things you don't agree with but I think the horoscope signs are pretty acurate despite us not wanting to believe them. But everyone has their own opinion and you make a good point. Just depends on how you feel about them.

Well he was born on the Cusp of Libra and Scorpio. Go to an astrology site, i.e., astrology.com and see where it places him according to his birth time.

I am pretty sure the dates are specific. I was born on Oct 26, and I am every inch a scorpio.
