Texas, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia, Florida (geographically it's Southern but otherwise...), South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia.
Some people call West Virginia southern. I'm not so sure I agree with that.
No part of Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, or Delaware can be considered Southern in any way.

My favs: they're my favs b/c of the natural beauty and people
Okay: these states have a lot to offer but just doesn't suit my personality. I have nothing against them, though.
My not-so-favs: natural beauty abounds in each of these states, but the people can be pretty rude.

Well, let's see, I'm 100% Texan so Texas gets my vote as favorite. Why is it my favorite? Well, I was born and raised here, because it's so beautiful, everyone is friendly and nice, the BBQ is DELICIOUS, and the GUYS (especially the ones that wear Wranglers and cowboy hats) ARE HOT!!!
Out of the southern states I've been to Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisisana, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Florida. I can't choose a least favorite because they're all so beautiful. It really makes me proud to live in such a beautiful country and even more proud to be an American.

I like North Carolina a lot. Virginia isn't bad either. Hard to call West Virginia "Southern" since they were established during the Civil War by breaking away from the south. Still a nice place though.

North Carolina is my favorite because that's where I live. I love south Carolina because that's where I was born. I hate Mississippi. I lived there for 6 years. There were no jobs and nothing to do!

My favorites would have to be Texas, Georgia, and Virginia. Virginia because I was born there and have lived there my whole life, Georgia because I go to UGA, and Texas because I just think it's a cool state.

North Carolina. Not only because I live here, but we have the best barbecue in the world. Florida would have to be my lease favorite, just because it is so overpopulated.
