my computer had a virus & i just got it fixed but now my yahoo messenger msg archive has disappeared-help!?

i had saved every single msg in ym...but once i got my com. back ,cleaned,all my saved msgs have disappeared...is there anyway to get them back?cheers.

If you right click on a yahoo ID and then click MESSAGE ARCHIVE and if you see an empty list, then your message archive is gone unless you backed it up somewhere else.

Next time, try and back up your archive. you can find the files at C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\
Messenger\Profiles\
\Archive\Messages

All the archived messages are stored in that path folder.

It sounds as if your drive was formatted i.e. wiped clean. When that happens, there is no way to get data back.
