Yes, and it's alot of hype. The oscars are given by the Academy, which is a clique of stars and movie producers and other people who belong to the Academy. The people connected to the movies (actors, producers, ect) are nominated and they're voted on by the entire academy.......what I understand. If you're not a popular person, then you can hang it up on ever getting an oscar. Many people have been nominated...but usually someone in the "A" list gets it.

Very Unfair, I boycott the Oscars films every year....

They aren't "unfair" per se, its just the opinion of a certain group of people. Their opinions might not neccessarily be the same as yours so they may seem unfair.
