Do women really stand on the side of the street and sell themselves or is this only in the movies?

I have lived a sheltered life. Pimps, prostitutes, escorts, etc...I am doing a paper on this subject for school, but I am very naive about what is real and what is not.

I was an escort and loved it.
I never stood on the streets and would never put myself in danger like that.
I did know a few women casually that did that.
They were all incredibly beautiful too although that is not always the case. They were mostly heroin adicts but not all.
They got beat up and raped all the time. But their addictions were too strong to stop. Most had pimps and the devotion to these pimps was amazing. They would have died for them.
I never understood why they would have pimps.
I never understood why, when they made good money, they couldn't get it together enough to buy a car so they could be
escorts and make the really big bucks and be relatively safe.
That is the addiction. They immediately use the money for drugs.
I remember seeing the most beautiful women I have ever seen standing on the streets late at night, getting into the cars of men they didn't know. I can't imagine doing that.
I also remember seeing the most pathetic creature I have ever seen, staggering along the street with half her hair torn out, looking like she was dead, dragging herself along, knowing her pimp told her not to come back without a few hundred dollars.
Now it is different, with women not looking good at all, doing it for $5.00. Back then they all got at least $50. And they put a lot of time into fixing themselves up.
Of course I made lots more than $50. I wouldn't have done it for that. And I knew of a few escorts in their mid 50's who made over $100,000 a year. It turns out it is incredibly easy to turn a man on and most are not picky at all.

I also did a search for escort services and right off the bat came up with a page of women, some not wearing clothes, offering their "services" in any city in Canada. Legalized prostitution.

In my own phone book I found an ad in the yellow pages for a "Gentlemen's Club" promising beautiful women and "full discretion."

It is difficult to believe that so many women, and even little girls, are forced to use their bodies like this. Yes, hookers and pimps are real. There are monsters in this world.

Maybe you should do a paper on something you have some experience with or knowledge of. Yes, there really are pimps, prostitues, and escorts, in small towns as well as big cities.

HK - Some Street, mostly brothels and bars( special types not your regular bars) and believe it or not you can book one on the internet.

BKK mostly street from what i see and bars

In regards to pimps i do not know anything about them, i guess they are more low key and dont hang out in these places

It's definetly real... I know a friend whose witnessed it.
This woman was in her trench coat and as she drove by her (she was with her family) the woman flashed them.

There was this other time on my way to the gym (I take a back road) this woman had nothing on but a bathrobe and standing by the street...it gross!

Yes, it does happen. Red light districts are common is areas where desparate people accumulate, and this is often accompanied by drugs, including excessive alcohol, homlessness and eating the discards of society (food scraps).
