Our ancestors have made and worn clothes for tens of thousands of years, to protect from the cold. If they did not, then we would still have our chimpanzee-like fur. Go ahead and live in Canada, England, or the northern United States for a few years with your fur-less body and no clothes, and you'll see how naked you are meant to be. If anything, we are only meant to be naked in warm weather.

Some very isolated tribal groups in parts if the world, like deep in the Amazon rain forest, still go around naked. It's probably fun unless there's a lot of biting insects or you brush against sticker bushes. I would say that their lifestyle fits your question. huh

Actually, we were meant to be naked, in the beginning. But then Adam and Eve chose to sin. That's why we have to wear clothes, why we have to work, and why we won't all go to Heaven. Only those of us who accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and ask forgiveness will go to Heaven.

If by born, you mean "created", we once had heavier hair on our bodies than we do now, which meant we weren't really naked.
We were "covered".

Now that we have much less hair on our bodies, we cover ourselves with clothing for warmth... and now for personal style!

Clothing also has hygienic benefits. We can easily keep our bodies clean and dry... after all, who wants to sit their bare bum on the same seat on a bus or in a restaurant as other bare bums.

Aside from religious answers, we wear clothes to protect us from our environment. \in the northern hemisphere our climate means we need extra protection from the cold / wind / raid / sun to be comfortable. Clothing also protects us from other hazards like stinging plants and thorny bushes.

Clothing also provides a forum for self expression where we can customise and style our clothing to express our personalities. Different clothing can also be used to show your status within your community.

If we were born the way we were meant to be, we'd all be unable to walk / talk / feed ourselves / survive. Also, the buttons would catch on the way out!!

We are all born naked, wet, cold, helpless, and hungry. Are you postulating that we should stay that way. Maybe a tree should just stay a seed. I could go on. You were also born not knowing the answer to your question, so maybe you should let it go.

We were meant to be naked. The only reason God gave us clothing is because when Adam and Eve at the forbidden fruit, they realized they were naked and were ashamed. It's our own sin that makes us want to hide ourselves. In fact, it's our own sexual sin that makes it necessary to hide ourselves, even if we don't necessarily want to.

We were meant to be naked but we all got too smart and began to realize that we were naked and started to cover ourselves up.

Because if you were born wearing clothes, then they would be, in essence, a part of your body. So even then wearing clothes, you'd be naked. And I doubt they'd be machine-washable - very important for busy new mommies. Drop baby in, then soon . . . all clean!
