Ya you'll be fine. Many contact lens wearers do this from time to time. Its just annoying when u wake up and they feel like theyre glued to your eyeballs. :p

i wouldn't worry about it, that has happened to several of my family and friends before. the type of contacts are actually mostly the same, even though they try to tell you they are "special" as long as u don't get any chemicals (cleaning agents or such) on the contacts they are fine also. i also had a friend that worked for a Internet sales of contacts and she said that the same contacts are labeled differently so they can make more money (manufacturers do that) so u will be fine , the irritation is normal because your eyes got a little dry. the once a day type of contacts are actually the same as the ones you wear for a week, they just make more $ when u throw them out daily.

You need to keep putting artifical tears in your eyes today. That will help with the irritation. Try not to wear your contacts today and tomorrow if possible. Other than that you should be fine. It's ok that it happens every once in awhile. With the new technology they have today it's becoming more safer for this to happen. Just don't make a habit out of it!

I have been wearing contacts for 18 years and fell asleep in them so many times I can not count. Just put some drops in to get the moisture back and you will be all right. And give them a few hours rest with your glasses.

Even though its strongly recommended against, I sleep with my contacts in all the time. All it really does is make your eyes really dry the next day, and if you use eye drops or multi purpose solution in your eyes you will be just fine. It wouldn't be a bad idea to take them out the next day though, to let your eyes rest. Sleeping in your contacts can also cause them to rip and tear easier.
It's not a good habit to get started though, so I'm not saying its perfectly fine, I'm just saying your eyes will be ok.

It depends on the type of contact lenses. I wear contact lenses that are very permeable so I wear them for a week at a time nonstop. Other contact lenses are supposed to be taken out at night. Your eyes probably just got scratched up or dried out. either way I agree with the people who say you should lubricate your eyes.

I've done that before. Just give your eyes a rest and try not to do it a lot. My doc told me that if you do it a lot, your eyes become oxygen deprived and then blood vessels will start to grow across your eyes so that they can deliver oxygen to them and you can't see through the blood vessels. So just don't let it happen much.

Did they come out easily? If not, you may want to go see your doctor. It is possible to remove a layer of skin from your eye if they got dried out. You wouldn't notice right away, and it will heal, but it will be very painful if you don't get a topical anesthetic.

Nothing to worry about. I know someone that sleeps with them like every night, and nothing is happening with her eyes yet.

You will be fine. I think we all have had it happen from time to time. As long as it isn't a thing you do on a regular basis, I doubt there is any damage.
