I would say hockey is. In hockey you play at a much faster pace, so getting hit hurts a lot more than in football. Fast paced hockey games are even harder because you are going up and down the ice so much. In football you stop play every 5-10 seconds and also get to sit while either the offense or defense is on the field(depending on what you play). Both sports are physically demanding and require a lot of strength though. I am assuming you mean football, not soccer in america.

Hockey requries the athlete to have more athletic skills and endurance. Plus, the ability to fist-fight while balancing on skates is miraculas!!!
Look at the physique of a Hockey player against a football player. The average Hockey player is 5'11" - 6'2" and weighs 190-210 pounds. This is a healthy man. Have you ever seen a Hockey players legs; rare sight ... but drool ... drool ... drool ... lean defined muscel that is rock hard ... drool ... drool ... drool ... OK, I'm under control now. Anyways they get these spectacular legs from skating so hard. Everyone knows that skating creats the leanest, and most solid muscel mass.
Football players are big - fat - simply blocks. Even the quarter backs are overweight and unattractive. Sure they have to run and tackle each other, but there's no stamina ... they whimps!!! It's gross to see the really fat mosters bend over for the hudle (Ewwwww).
Soccer players ... well, running is good, and does create the lean appeal ... but running only makes you thin and does not build musel mass ... plus, skating is much better on the joints than running, so when Hockey players age, they just have to worry about the missing teeth and broken noses (which is attractive).

depends on your position, punters and kickers QB's can do their job forever since they get hit lightly 4 times a season. So hockey isdefiantlyy tougher then all of those however id believe either way on the rest of the otherpositions. lineman die cause they are overweight not because they play football. other people like WR, RB's get killed like 7 times a game depending sometimes close to 30 or 40. Ill go with hockey only for a few reasons. Its on ice which is harder then grass, they wear less pads, play almost everyday with practice and all not just 1 game a week. However when you play certain football positions and lay yourself out there there maybe some football players who are worse then hockey players.

That's a tough one. Football players take heavy hits on every play. They have to have good endurance to run the length of the field, but there are longer breaks in between plays. Hockey players are skating the majority of the game. They do get checked along the boards often, and when they fall, they don't have soft grass to land on. When it comes down to it, I'd say football is a tougher sport.

It's 82 games vs. 13 regular season for football. During the season hockey players even have back to back home and away games, so when they aren't playing they're traveling. Guys who get cut, get stitched up on the bench, and nobody sits out with turf toe. Of course hockey is tougher.

Hockey you have to iceskate, handle a stick while trying to be killed. In foot ball you are on ground. People always say football hits are so hard. Well watch hockey for about 30 seconds and you'll change your mind

Hockey is more difficult. It is played on SKATES at 30mph where they shoot a frozen rubber disc at 100mph into an 8 X 4 opening with a fully padded player trying to stop it. There are thunder body hits that knock out teeth and sometimes severe body injuries.

Football is pretty tough. But I am going to have to say hockey. It is hard to balance on the skates and trying to control the puck and try not to get hit by another hockey player.

Hockey. Faster pace and big hits. Plus it requires balance to skate and coordination to handle a stick. Another thing, players play offense and defense so it's more things to remember.

Have you ever skated for an hour straight? I like (American) football better, but think that hockey is a more physically demanding sport.
