if i get more than 1gb then i have to pay 2rupees per mb

usually, if ur broadband is based on download then no need to pay for amount of hours...
but you must try to keep ur total data transfer(download+upload----->that includes downloading software & other stuff, seeing pictures in emails, listening to music, watching video using internet, uploading your photos, attaching files in e-mail, your computer's updates such as Microsoft updates, Anti-virus updates etc..... ) within the limit of 1GB (per month?) so that you can avoid paying Rs.2/MB.....

for safety reasons, better ask ur ISP...

I have 400 MB limit of MTNL broad band & use it for emails, visiting different webpages & playing yahoo games etc. It lasts for 14 days only. Its impossible for someone to answer your question until & unless he knows your exact usage. Why dont you log in your account & frequently view usage log (statement of bytes consumed) provided by the broadband company, at least once a week. This will help you to identify your average monthly useage.
