If you notice, not even the first alphabeth is in Capital letter. Why? Does it mean something?

It cost money to get your ame on your jersey, it cost even more for bigger letters and then even more if you want the letters capitalized

Actually,it's more of a current trend. In recent times, teams like Real Madrid have started this style of fonting their players' names. In the World Cup, teams like Togo, Ivory Coast and Holland have gone with the flow.Like all trends, don't wish for such fancy stuff to be around much longer.

just watch the world cup in germany you'll see lots of different styles of lettering on the back of shirts
(Soccer that is, don't know if you where talking about american footie)
