My recreational reading is mainly books. I don't get any magazine subscriptions anymore (other than the alumni mag they send). I spend a lot of the day working on the computer and read things, but I don't really consider that recreational reading.
I always have a book I'm working on, even if I don't read it often. So far this calendar year, I'm on my 5th book. As soon as I finish one, I'll go out and get another, but may not start on it right away. Some books I finish in a couple of nights and others I can drag out for a month. Recently, Kite Runner took me like 3 nights to finish, but Nothing Like It In the World : The Men Who Built the Transcontinental Railroad 1863-1869 took me over a month.
I would say average (non internet) recreational reading is 30 minutes every other day.
I'm 32.

I read whenever I feel like it. So that varies drastically. sometimes I read every day, sometimes I'll go for months without recreational reading.
I'm 36 and looking for another really good book but nothing has caught my attention recently. I might have to read Stephen King's "The Stand" again. The only book I've read more than 15 times. Not read The Green Mile though.......time I did, I think.

With the exception of an occasional morning or evening newspaper the extent of my reading is done here and on other sites. I may spend a couple hours a day, more or less. I've never been much of a reader. Oh Yeah, I'm 31.

Everyday but not necessarily from a book or newspaper, I read a paper twice or 3 times a week and a book every few weeks. Latley I'm on a poetry kick because my blogging friends are pretty creative.

Does sitting on the throne count?
If not, I'd say about twice a month. Last book I read was "Wild Trek".
