A rat. They are pretty clean, you only have to feed/water daily and clean cage once a week. Pet store rats are very sociable! They enjoy human company, don't bite (unless someone is hurting them), and can even be taught some basic tricks - like staying on your shoulder even if you are just sitting reading a book or something. Rats will even begin to learn their own name after awhile. GL!

If u like small cuddly pets than u could consider a guinea pig or a hamster. They do require attention and care, so if u'd like to spend at least half an hour on it, that might be a good choice. If you want a tiny hyper pet that runs around a ton, a mouse might be acceptable. If something that just is a pet, you migh consider a goldfish, Betta fish or a hermit crab. Some people dont like fish, so hermit crabs crawl around but dont call for a chunk of your time. (u do need an xtra shell because they change shells. If they'rs no shell they'll die.) also consider getting several hermit crabs or fish. (DO NOT GET 2 MALE BETTA FISH THEY WILL KILL EACH OTHER!!!) There are also several breeds of dogs that will fit in ur purse such as chihuahuas. There are some non poisonous snakes and lizards.

Well if you want a small easy to take care of pet you should probably get a hamester....if you think that would be to much maybe a fish or a turtle. cats are also not that hard to take care of because they are very independent....maybe you can also get a mouse or even a bird.

A hamster or a gerbil would be your best pet. Both require little care. All they need is fresh food and a water bottle. Their cages only need clearning about every one to two weeks. Make sure to get a quality bedding that is not made with cedar or pine shavings. I would recommend Carefresh. It can be found at Petco and probably PetSmart. Also make sure your little pal has a wheel. But otherwise, they are not high maintenence pets. But you do need to keep up with the basics.

Rats can make wonderful pets, their very intelligent and become very tame. In my opinion they make much better pets then rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, hamsters or gerbils. They are easy to keep and cheap to buy. If you have an aversion to rats try put it aside and visit somone with a tame one, as rats really do make the best small mammalian pet in my view.

a gerbil...they are easy to take care of and they don't bite when you handle them like hamsters do. The are very social pets...but usually they are happy in pairs.
