If they win they will play the loser of the Germany-Ecuador game. Right now it looks like Germany is going to win so unless Ecuador makes an amazing 2nt half comeback England should win (if they don’t want to play Germany). Plus any true competitor never loses deliberately.

No. If a team is to win the World Cup, inevitably they will have to play the best teams at one stage or another. By knocking them out now it will save them the job of having to do it later in the tournament.
Germany are no loger the force they used to be anyway, so there is no reason why England should fear them. Certainly matching player for player, pound for pound England have the stronger team.
So, bring them on !!

Actually if they lose only then they face Germany. I think it would be fair if they play for a draw nwhich would take both teams through. They did the same in the last match in 2002 0-0 against nigeria

nope... because their england... they shouldn't do such a thing because of germany... they are one of the top teams and one way of showing that is having confidence in themselves... they wouldn't dare to risk one loss to be able to get away from facing one tough team...
