I lost my cell phone. It's a Samsung Verizon Wireless phone and it must have fell out of my pocket on the bus or something. What will Verizon do? Will I have to pay for a new phone? Will they give me a new one for free?

They will stop service on the old one. Charge you for a new one. Probably extend your service contract agreement to last longer.

Depending on if you have the insurance plan offered by your porovidor or not. If insurance there will be a deductible and then you will be sent another phone. If you dont have insurance there are a couple of different things that could happen.

1. You just got service and had the phone less than 6 months or its a new phone. You will probably end up buying a new phone full price, you can also ask about preowned phones(some stores have them) which would cost you roughly half cost of the full cost of the phone if it was new.

2. You had the phone awhile, in this example you may end up getting some sort of discount like a new every two where you get the phone at the cost of a new customer, or maybe a mailin rebate if eligible. This usually means you have had the phone for one or two years not service but the actual phone. This of course means signing a new contract with the company for two years.

if you have insurance on it they will stop the service on your cell phone. Then charge you for a new SIM card, and finally you will have to buy a brand new phone. This is w/o any new discount. Also did you check lost and found or call your phone to see if anyone picked up your phone by accident.

Call them from a land-line and ask them! Every provider is different.

My son left his phone in the pocket of his jeans... I washed them!

Guess what?!? The phone wasn't waterpoof! LOL!

(Luckily, we had insurance... so all's well.)

if you have insurance than you pay a 50$ insurance deductible and they will send you a new phone and you send the old one back-if you dont have any insurance you'll have to buy another one-but you can tack on monthly pmys to your bill if you can't afford it at once-trust me get the insurance its 5$ a month its worth it at times like this

It depends on if you bought that seemlingly useless insurance when you signed up or not. If you did, then they will give you a new phone. If not, you will have to buy another one.

Your provider will laugh very loud in your face,"HA HA HA," and say,"you lose your head if it wasn't in your drawers."
Sorry I had to.
You'll probably have to pay for a new one.
