Okay I have one more question. I got all your stories about getting induced.. so right now Im 41 weeks and today they are putting me on the induction list. I dont know if its just where I am at, but my doctor said the hospital wont induce until 41 weeks... like you cant even be put on the list. So the nurse said she will call first thing in the morning and call me. Do you think its the same day for the induction? Did they make anyone wait a long time. How does all this work. Im all confused.

I depends on your circumstances of the birth and how they want it to be done and how many other people are gettin induced, if you are priority then you proberly wont have to wait long but if your not then they arent gonna wait till you have the baby to induce you cause obviously theres no point if they wana have ya induced then they'll make sure its done. Thats what they did with me. I was aslo a priority.
And one more thing I know they say every birth is different but being induced was the best labour I ever had. good luck, hope everything goes well.

my daughter in law was induced, the hospital has you on the list, they will call you and tell you what time to be there, you go in and get settled, they will start the IV and give you the medicines you need to start the labor. so you get the call and they tell you what to do, it all happens on the same day! IF you get an epidural make sure its a sterile environment and dont allow too many people into your birthing room. less people, less chance of germs, make it your immediate family only, ie baby's daddy and yalls parents
good luck!

I have never heard of havig to wait until 41 weeks . Most hospitals/doctors will gladly do it by 39 weeks and just schedule it in advance .
I would guess at 41 weeks they may call you and say be here later to day or worst case scenerio the next morning.

dont induce unless you want to. inducing can make the babies heart rate abnormal, wich can lead to a c section. and i dont think you want one of those, a pregnancy can last 38-42 weeks. because the due date is not all that accurate. check out some web sites on inducing. then make your choice, dont let your doc make it for you unless there is a medical reason. try taking walks to help start labor.

with my oldest, my due date was the 8th, i went in the 8th and was sceduled to be induce on the 15th. With my second, she was due on the 3rd. I went in on the third for my appointment and was sceduled to be induced on the 8th.....It varries from doctor to doctor. Some won't even let you go 1 day past your due date
