I am interested in becoming a broker for trucking loads and would like information on where I can learn the trade-whether it is a credited school or a company course. I would like to find where to go in the Raleigh-Fayetteville, North Carolina area. This is for finding freight loads for truckers to haul.

The best way to know the business is definitely on-the-job learning. If you can find some good literature on the topic, that would only help. Try to look for forwarding/dispatching/truck broking jobs in your area.

After a year or so you should be able to enter the business on your own. This is an industry undergoing massive consolidation so it might be difficult to find your niche. However, I keep my fingers crossed!
