I have use for years Ad-aware with no problem. I downloaded Windows Defender and I think? this caused big problems for me..do you think this is the culprit? I have been experiencing where i hear the tower of the computer running and running. I thought maybe it is the 'ghosts' that may have come with the Norton Internet Security 2006 issue I downloaded..so I think? I have disenabled that..but again..i heard that noise going on as if my computer is racing with working..I did remove Windows Defender which I had put on the other day..Could that have been the problem? it seems my Cpu dropped from 100 percent to 4 percent the moment I removed it.

Windows defender I is still a beta 2 program. So it is possible that for some reason it was not compatible with another program you had, or your version of windows needed an update. I have my own business setting up computers and I recommend

spy sweeper or ad-aware
w/ AVG( anti-virus grisoft http://free.grisoft.com)
and the free version of zone alarm ( www.zonelabs.com)

If the useage dropped after removal it appears you found the culprit. It is possible that you got a bad download as I use Defender as a backup to AdAware and Spybot and do not have that problem.

it really is a hoax, the in undemanding words virus you've is that probability, forcing you to purchase that antispy, I easily have a good antivirus and antispyware and my computer is sparkling, yet often times I nonetheless get that and it tells me I easily have one hundred's of virus's, lies, I experiment with mine and in no way some thing.
