A tingle lotion will get you dark faster than a non-tingle lotion will. However, i find it's not as popular as it used to be. It is slightly uncomfortable, makes your body warmer than without using it, and causes you to be red for up to 3 hours after you get out of the tanning bed.

My suggestion would be for you to buy a sample of something your salon recommends and put it ONLY on your legs and arms (not on your behind!), and see if you can tolerate the tingling sensation.

Or, there's a new product out by Swedish Beauty called Ravishing. It is their new Body Blush technology that is supposed to give you the effects of a tingle lotion without all the tingling and reddning. I work in a tanning salon and i gave one of my best customers a sample to try and she says it will be the next lotion she purchases. She used to use tingle then moved to bronzers, so she's tried pretty much all of them.

Yes they can be bad for you and cause you to burn faster, they make your red blood cells rise to the surface, that's what causes the tingling. There's nothing proven that it "makes you tan better or faster" it's just a different type of lotion. I would recommend something with a bronzer if you're looking to tan quicker, and don't think that tanning longer and burning gives you a "better tan." It's better to ease into it, and build a base tan first.

I was going to buy some when i first got my sunbed but it heats up or something like that so it brings the blood to the service to tan quicker. Its like a heat rub as i do use these alot my skin goes really red and burns and raises up, but some people are more sensitive to it than others. So i decided to pass i got a non tingling tan accererator oil instead.

The tingle is not bad, it's totally bearable. It oxidizes your skin so you will be a little red for awhile. Don't put any on your face though, it might burn there.

they have ingredients to make the skin tingle as you apply them and them the skin reddens as it is exposed to the sun and makes you think you are tanning faster,,,it disappears in an hour or so....
