I always thought that cholrine is good if you have fake tan on as it takes it off!
Chlorine bleaches the skin slightly!

I never heard of chlorine darkening your skin as i thought chlorine was a type of bleach to clean the water, so it strips colour any way i guess if it does make your skin darker use waterproof sunscreen.

Just make sure that you don't stay in the pool to long and if they have on of those floating chlorine things stay away from it.

If you are worried about the UV rays, wear a T shirt when swimming.

cover your body with body suit or if exposd apply a water resistant sun protector cream.
