Try some of Melodie Beattie's books. I found them to be indispensable. I also found out why Iwas attracted to men like this and how to listen to my inner voice. Her book "The Language of letting Go" is a good self help book.

Books? I don't know of any, but you're better off talking to someone...even complete strangers on the internet that have been through this. Talk about it, get it out in the open and that will help you move on.
Time heals. I'm sure that's hard to understand right now, but it truly does. I've been there and know it to be true.

that was the only shot i could give to lighten the immense pain that you are going through.what i really mean is that start your life all over again and find a better guy.okay.and tell me when you do.

A book may work for one person, but not for another. I think the thing to do is just learn to accept what has happened, awful as it may be, and be true to yourself. Yes, it sucks that he wants out, but that is not the end of the world for you. Your life still continues, so work through the pain, awful as it is, and keep going.

Bridges of Madison County. Consider yourself lucky that he's doing you such a big favor. Why would you want someone who doesn't want you?? Say, "OK, you go your way and I'll go mine", make sure you get your finances in order and don't cave in when it comes to $$ and find someone who will appreciate you for who you are. He's "unhappy" because he's doing something on the side he won't own up to. Don't be fooled.

It may be hard to listen to your friends, but honey a book couldn't tell you anything new. It just takes time. I have been there, it is very hurtful and hard to deal with, but you will survive this.
