I don't think it's true, nor do I drive a Hummer. I think it's status and after all they are nice spacious vehicles.

I don't think it has to do with their equipment so much... you see, people who drive these things NEED all that space to fit their ego!
besides, I don't think anybody would readily admit something like that... people who suffer from that usually keep it their "little" secret.
