YES!!!!!! I whole-heartedly agree with you. Now I think some consideration needs to be taken for the civilians. 8 out of every 10 Iraqi civilians are either terroists or are hiding them. We do have that power. The enemy doesn't have any rules so why should we have to play by rules. Politicians and war don't mix. Bush needs to give complete war control to one of his combat generals and stop fooling around with it. Do what the KGB does: act first think (face consecquences) later.
The only guy who was a decent general and decent President was Eisenhower. And I believe that when Eisenhower was a general he had supreme control and didn't have to worry about beaurocratics. Thats the way to go. We have to power to win this war and win it fast so why don't we use it??? Who cares what the rest of the world thinks about us?? They already think we're a bunch of bullies (and such).
The same goes for North Korea and the "ready to test" nuke that can hit chicago. If they so much as threaten us with the nuke I say blow the little ******** off the earth. Let them irradiate themselves. The only other country I respect in this world is the UK (and Canada b/c they don't do anything).
But to answer your question: no, the USA is not willing to throw out the rule book because there will be "sanctions" from the UN.
What has the UN done about any other places (Iraq, Iran, N. Korea)???? Why should we think they will do anything about us?? The UN is the 85% of the problem. First of all you can't negoitate with terrorists, and second, the terrorists have no intention of keeping their word to not develop nukes etc...

Under normal circumstances I would have to agree with you. However, America has always acted morally even in times of war. It's what sets us apart from most other countries. We've always treated our prisoners of war with, at least, a general respect for humanity. After all, they are also humans.
However, putting the fear of God into them, as you put it, is not really feasible. The individuals we are fighting are of a different mindset. They don't mind being killed, usually. They believe, as Muslims, that they are dying for a good cause, and see themselves as martyrs if they are killed, with glory to Allah. And killing innocent civillians does nothing more than piss people off, all over the world. It does me!
But the problem isn't that we are at war, it's why we are at war! Everyone in the US should become more educated on the origins of the Bush family, their agenda, and the realities behind 9/11, the Patriot Act, and the War on Terror! It's all a scam! Do your research...

Don't even know where to start with you.
This ain't THAT kind of war, and even if it was, you still have rules of engagement to follow. The more power you have the more responsibility you have when you do use it. Just bombing needlessly poisons the civilians against us. Never a good idea when you have troops on the ground.
Don't get me wrong, I like explosives and big bullets. But I like cheering fans when I roll through a town also.

Your just sick, Bush should have been charged long ago for Crimes of War. We should not be fighting this war as it is. Bush started it and if he hadn't his father before him would have. They both wanted war and they both set out to get it. There will never be peace with the Bush Administration in office. Do some research!

You're right. America should be just as barbaric as the Islamic extremists. Maybe we should start using The Rack and The Guillotine to punish people inside the US who commit crimes. Instead of moving forward, we'll regress to the Middle Ages. GREAT IDEA!

I heavily doubt that "the regulations of engagement" is the reason conserving the individuals from winning this conflict. The enemy for sure is truly confusing to become conscious of till they actually attack -and while the troops attempt and get a sprint professional-lively, the anti-conflict, laptop dimwits in this u . s . a . are throughout it - criminal representatives for the detainees, Geneva convention rights, alleged torture blown all out of share, humiliation of prisoners front internet site information etc. Face it, the liberals in this u . s . a . have thrown the towel in while it concerns the conflict in Iraq, and that they have got executed each and every thing they could to discredit the administration and regulations pertaining to to the conflict. I heavily doubt that they even end to evaluate any available consequenses of loosing this conflict - and in the event that they do, their strikes point out that they are heavily in choose of expert help.
