Is God Save the King national anthem of all the UK or just England? If it's just England what is UK anthem and the other way round? My dad's watching the World Cup now and he just wondered, so I figured some of you guys migt help.

Well, Scotland and Wales have their own National Anthems, but everyone tends to use that one for the UK as a whole.(and it's 'god save the queen now, the tax burden that she is...)

No, it was orginally "God Save the King". It was changed to "God Save the Queen" if the king died and only a queen ruled. You have it right.

I believe it is for the whole UK. However, the UK included various portions of Europed throughout history. Being that the English were a dominant force.

its actually God Save The Queen.
No its For All Uk Except Southern Ireland

I think it is God Save the Queen. The melody is the same as "My Country Tis of Thee/ America".
I remember my grandfather who was born in Sussex, England would sing it alot.
