and says stuff like at least my father is not gay... when we are around people...of course everyone laughs...but I'm sick of being reminded of my fathers sexual preferances...even after I've kindly asked him to drop it ..it still tants me with it what should I do or say to make this stop?

you tell him specially when he gets funny in front of people....with a strong voice let him know hey enough with the gay jokes the are not amusing me and most of all its hurts my felling confront him even if its have to be in front of people....that is very bad wht he is doing to you...and another thing tell him mind your business wht my dad do or is have nothing to do with you i want you to stop being such an ignorant dumbass,if he cant understand peoples fellings he should butt out also you can tell him in front of people hey why dont you go dress up like a clown if you want to make an *** of your self......... that should stop him..i believe he do this to hurt your fellings and you should let him know im not going to stand for this, now you can handle this like an adult or i can treat you like a child in front of people. he is so inmature how old is he 15??? wht a jerk...demand respect for your dad.my brother is gay too and we love him and i have been in situations where people try to be judgemental about him and i stopped them right off and tell them this is not your business worry about something that have to do with you,and i demand for them to shut the **** off. you stand for your daddy honey..good luck.

Don't put up with that. Tell your husband that you expect his bigotry to stop immediately or you will start following up every time with the most embarrassing thing you can think of about him. Start telling people in public how you can't believe that the man you love can be so small minded and see how he feels.

If I were you, I'd pick a fault that a member of HIS family has and IN PRIVATE tell him...... example: What if we were at a BBQ and someone said, "no thanx, I'm trying to watch my figure" and I (you) said, "Yeah, ya don't wanna be a big fat COW like my mother-in-law"..... Ask him how HE'D feel if you were to say that EVERY SINGLE TIME you could fit it into conversation. Then explain that by cutting down your father, he's in a way, cutting down YOU.

Tell him his behavior is totally unacceptable and he is setting a bad example for your son. He needs to love and respect you with that comes the acceptance of your family regardless of their sexual preference.

Wow. Your husband has no respect and worst he is showing your son how to be a bigot. I hope your son is getting debriefed by you. Otherwise, you will have your husband and son gay bashing your husband.

put your foot down and tell him it is going to stop now, he is being very immature and it hurts your feelings. Tell him you love your dad very much, and it should not matter what his sexual preferances are that he should respect him out of love for you.

sit down with your husband and tell him that you don't appreciate him joking about your father's sexual orientation and that you would appreciate that he does not bring it up further especially in front of your son.

this male behavior is often used by men who are gay and wish to draw attention away from themselves or are are jealous of another's life style which they secretly crave and haven't got the balls to admit it Good luck . on no account bring yourself down to his level.
