Yes and no. I've been in both. Hetero couples have a lot of pressure to get married and have children and therefore all the other stresses related to that. They also suffer the feeling that they are boring.
Same sex don't really have the same future to look forward too, advancing careers etc really has only money as a goal but with no children to pass it on to. Because the gay world is so much more promiscuous they have many more offers to cheat and it can be very hard to resist.
I don't think any relationship is easy but neither is being single, makes you want to give up doesn't it, only kidding.

Yes, as much so as any relationship. You deal with the same types of problems finances, jealousy, children, etc Occassionalyl theres an added stress if one or both of the people are not out of the closet or live in a not-so-gay friendly area. But even is managaeable. People that are straight have the added stress of truely having no real understanding of the opposite sex, There;s good and bad, and all relationships take alot of work.

Jonathan and I have been together almost 15 years -- we have enormous numbers of friends, mostly straight -- it is truthful to say that we have outlasted every straight marriage but one and that any of our straight friends would tell you that we are the most successful relationship of any type they know of. Some of them worry because we never fight and tthey think that is abnormal. The reality is that we always communicate, so we never have to fight.
We love each other very much, I would say we have a good relationship.
And of course, you well know, friendships with same sex friends are wonderful. So other forms of relationships exist as well.
Kind thoughts,
Reyn

Yes, it is possible. I've been in a successful same-sex relationship for nearly 11 years.

Sure, in as much as it is "possible" to have a good relationship with anyone, I suppose. Be selective ... Be fair... and do a self check OFTEN...Sometimes its not whether you can get along with the same sex and like or love or have a relationship in the mannor you're speaking..same sex or not... sometimes..its whether we even respect and/or like ourselves.

all three of my best friends are females.... and they are very tolerant and understanding about my sexuality. they do not judge and i think we are such good friends cuz i lay off the guys so that means more for them....lol
they are like my baby sisters, so i dont hit on them and we know that there will never be anything between us but pure friendship... so i guess that makes things simple.
but i dont think you should limit yourself to friends of the opposite sex..... youmight be missing a few gems if you did that :)

I feel it is harder....My father is in a samesex relationship, but it seems gays play more games...My dad last relationship the guy cheated on him. I think they feel if they are only hurting one person rather than a whole family if you were straight (kids) so it doesn't mean that much to them...
