I know what you mean...My boss just harrassed another emplyee to make her quit and now she's messing with her whole life, too---not giving her a recommendation for other jobs (after she's worked a whole year there), ruining rental home applications, etc...I sure don't ever want to get on her bad side! She's laughing about the poor girl's troubles..When I get out, I'll probably have to retire or move to another country! LOL!

It seems like every female boss I've worked for was really hard to get along with, and abusive in their own ways. The only way I survived was to move on, and now I'm at the best job I've ever had in my life! (Working for men, too!) I would say the best advice would be to just try and get what you need to get done at work, and keep a low profile. If your boss is giving you a hard time, you can try to figure out what sets her off. Like my one boss would always want me to work late because she hated her husband and didn't have any girlfriends. So I made sure I would get everything I needed to do done during the day, and let her know I had plans set up that I could not break after work. It helped me escape from her. My other boss was just totally crazy, so that's why I quit. I know how frustrating it can be, good luck! And don't be afraid to look for something better for yourself!

You don't. Just do your job to the best of your ability making as few mistakes as possible..you know she will be looking for your mistakes !! I worked for a woman who was sweet as pie on first sight and then turned into a monster who would write me up for any little misstep !! If you are a good honest worker she can't do anything to you..Don't waste your time trying to be her friend, some people are just miserable and love to take people down with them !! Good Luck !!

Getting along w/ her may be very difficult. Most of the time, it helps to keep your head down so to speak. Best thing may be to find another job before she decides she wants to hurt your career or reputation! I feel for you, it's a bad situation.
