OK so I'm slowly losing my hair at the front...the hairline is beating a steady retreat up my forehead...I'm only 20....
Soon I'm going to have to shave my head for the sake of presentation and neatness.
Do you think I should go completely smooth-bald or grade 1, even, short stubble? I have quite a lined face and defined jaw and am very slim build, fair skin and blue eyes.

ye by your description you'll look very hot with a shaved head like a number one..... skinheads are HOT!

I did just this last summer for the same reason. I'm 27 by the way. I started off with just clipping it short but found it rather bothersome, time consuming and messy to need to do every other day since your hair line starts showing more and more the longer you let it get. I switched to shaving it in the shower (which I already did my face this way) every other day. If I miss a day, it's no big deal. Far as stubble, being fair skinned we show stubble even when we shave it, so you're better off limiting your hair line showing by minimizing this, plus you get the Bruce Willis look.

Remember that hair grows back, so try going bald and see what sort of reaction you get!
My grandfather was completely hairless all over his body after he was very ill - and I think he looked better bald!
Warning: you will find that people immediately give you the bill!
(ps give it more than 24 hours before you make your mind up - and ask women and/or gay men their opinions rather than your mates - they will laugh until they get used to it! - and give stubble a go as well!)

Use a bare blade on the clippers- leaves a very short stubble and looks great. At least, that's what I do, and I think it looks wicked.

Naturally balding can be very attractive on a man. Just keep your hair cut short and don't try to fight nature.

think you should stop looking in mirror ...worry is making your hair fall out just go with the flow .....and you sound nice but a bit ....and use moisturiser on your skin to help keep the lines away ...
