This was a question asked to a client, by a counselor, while I was observing. The male a member of A.A. wanted his S.O. to go to the same meetings as him and she refused, and in doing so stunned his thinking process into thinking that she would be talking about their relationship in these meetings. She on the other hand has her own support group, sponsors and "safety net", and has a little bit of sobriety time, more so than the male. What is your take on this scenario?

There are lots of issues here :

Openess : they need to be open and fully communicating
Trust: in trust they will will know each other better
Space: even in relationship people need individual space
Relationship: what is the state of their relationship?
