Different glass deflection can change the angle of lighting. Also, different room lighting has much to do with it.
People don't realize the difference in light especially fluorescent lights.
But, you will always look good in my mirror

no you actually look different in different mirrors.
the manufacturers,have different aluminum they
put on as backing, and different glass on the front.
bathroom mirrors are meant to show all the tiny pores in your
face,they are like magnified.
gym mirrors on the other hand are made more for a body
shot tall and thin.
some gyms were caught cheeting it;s clients
by taking them to a special mirror on the wall
so to speak after 3 months of membership.
this mirror was different than the rest in the gym
and it was away from any machinery that would have been
used.it was meant to make you look taller and thinner.
although they claimed once caught it help to boost
their clients moral, people actually thought they were losing
weight so they didn;t work out as hard.when then gained weight
but looked the same in this mirror on the wall, they knew somthing was up.
carnival mirrors at circuses -fat thin-etc-etc-etc..
so yes they are diffent.

I've noticed some shops tint the dressing room mirrors so that if you're pale you look slightly tanned, which can make you look thinner.
Also tall thin mirrors tend to make you look wider, as you fill more of the width of the mirror. A wide mirror puts more space around you so you appear thinner - optical illusion thingy.

You look different based on several things...
1) Dress and hair look
2) Lighting in the room
3) Angle the mirror is at (Example: hanging from the wall or on a stand)
4) Angle your are looking at your self from
Same as when you take a picture
Some pictures are better than others based on lighting, angle, clothing and hair do.
Also its a fact of being self concious and worried on what other people think
No need to really people will accept you for who you are unless you have a terrible dress sence or smell

1. Most mirrors have slight distortions making you appear either skinnier or fatter.
2. Lighting makes all the difference as you look at yourself in a mirror (even the colour of the light and the position of the light and the number of lights)

Its mostly the lighting and shadows. Notice that some fluorescent lights have a yellow tint...others have a blue tint. You look different under different tinted lighting. Also, the direction of the lighting has an effect on how you look.
So, the answer is, yes..you really do look different in different mirrors.

yes i found that this happens all the time, its like some mirrors are different than others some make you look thinner and some make you look fat. I thought it was just me being paranoid but i was wrong. Its like the glass in the mirrors is either thicker or thinner. Maybe companys make them that way. its not fair though is it.
