Yes they are called pygmy goats, another breed is the Nigerian goat. Though house breaking a goat. Ummm I'm not real sure of that. After all.. it's a goat and well Goats eat EVERYTHING they can get their mouths on.. LITERALLY. If you really wanted to own goats and you wanted the pygmy goats I would suggest a large pen to contain them. It keeps them protected from dogs and they can't get into any poisonous plants etc. if properly housed.
Course you have to know one thing... if you want to breed fair warning the BUCKS STINK *lol* they give off a really, really strong musky scent that the doe's just LOVE and when they are in Rut they also pee all over themselves, their face, back of their front legs, the Doe's etc. Even spraying everywhere just to get their scent well spread so other Buck's know those are THEIR girls and thats THEIR territory.
So, now... do you REALLY want to own a goat and have it live in your house?? *smile*

I am bottle feeding a boar goat now and YES you can housebreak a goat. She will get huge so she is not staying but right now she sleeps in the spare bathroom on towels ( that I change 2x's daily ). I feed her in the morning and let her out. Within 5 minutes she has done her business and we go back inside. She has free reign of the hosue while I get dressed- then she goes outside for the day in a large dog run. She comes back in when I get home and I feed her and again I let her out. Within 5 minutes she has finished her business and we spend the next hour playing and getting things done around the house. She hops on the furniture and runs with the cat and dogs all around the living room. She sits in my lap while I watch television and is content to have her back scratched.
She will make a different noise when she has to go out and since I have figured out what the noise means we have had no more accidents. She makes the noise 3 times and then she pees so you have to pay attention.
I bathe her every 3 days with a mild, oatmeal shampoo so she does not stink and anyone visiting cannot tell I have a " farm " animal in the house. I have raised male goats before and they do stink unless you " fix " them so be choosy when you decide to get one.
She is an unusual pet and she will be missed when she goes back to the herd next month. I think the dogs will miss her as well.

yes you can get miniatures - pygmy and nigerian dwarf goats. No goats aren't normally housebroken...they'll go wherever they happen to be. They'll also - especially young ones - go to the highest thing in the room and jump off. You might consider if your home could stand something the size of, oh, a labrador retreiver doing that. If not...fix a stall outside with shelter. ;-)

i may well be careful feeding any particularly a lot of candy feed to goats. Feeding some is okay, yet an excess of Molasses in goat feed has been common to reason Goat Polio. If no longer taken care of goat polio would be deadly. We began raising goats 6 yrs. in the past and did no longer be attentive to relating to the candy feed. We ended up with 2 goats getting Polio. on account that then we feed Dumor Goat which may well be offered from Tractor furnish. It has each thing they choose and that they supply the effect of being to thrive plenty greater useful on it.

Goats can not be housebroken. They go all over the place.
Why would you want one in the house. They would climb all over everything. They love to climb up of things like the tp of your car if they can get to it. They also will eat and chew up everything they can get at like the vinyl roof off your car. They can be very destructive.
They are fun but the males smell really bad as they will urinate on their beards. Yes they really do pee on their breads to make themselves smell. It is so gross. And they stink. I could not stand to have one in the house. The yard is bad enough.

Goats make okay pets, but theyre better kept outdoors. A pig can be house broke because it always poops and pees in the same place, but goats (and other grass eating animals) poop and pee where ever they stand.

you can train a goat like any other animal to be housebroken but as a general rule a goat is considered a live stock animal and wouldn't be very happy being kept inside as ahousehold pet they prefer being outdoors
