This veries as there is 1001 ways to loose weight.
However after looking into new dietery systems the best way is to eat what you want when you want
Ok? But I thought thats how you put on weight
Not exactly...
1) Starving your self...
This causes your body to believe there is a famin and actually absorbs any fat content in the food you eat to preserve it as fuel needed later on (Natural survival technique) however your not in a famin area therefore you will still be able ot eat when ever you want adding to the situation.
2) over endulging
Again fat content will be stored by the body making it harder to loose weight.
So what is the best way?
Eat reasonable amounts ONLY when its appropiate to eat.
Example:
Drop the cooked meals in the morning if any
No fried content, go for a healthy cereal diet, One like the kellogs special K. (approx 7-9 am)
By noon (12pm)
Have 1 samwhich with maybe orange juice
OR a chocolate bar, and a packet of crips with a cola
(A SNACK and only treat for the day)
By Dinner Time (Approx 5pm - After work / school)
Have a reasonable size plate meal to compensate for energy used thru out the day.
Try limit your self to 1500 - 2000 calories if a woman 2000- 2500
if a man
2000 = Woman if a labour worker, 1500 if not (Office work, relaxed environment)
2500 = Male if a labpur worker, 2000 if not
Dont go mad counting calories just estimate. normal cerials contain about 300 calories (NOTHING basically) so an adveradge meal would normally be about 700-1000 calories.
A snack would be between 100-200 calories (As described above) all in all we are talking about
1200 calories - 1500 calories (Within your daily recomended allowence)
Dont rush your food.
When you taste food it sends signals to the brain, when you rush your food you dont get to taste it as well and your brain fails to send the signals back to say ENOUGH
So take a bit
Chew, taste it, swallow and take a 2 second pause before moving your fork and knife to the next bite.
This gives time to taste the product including the excess salts and fats meaning your body will then tell you when to stop.
DONT WEIGHT YOUR SELF EVERY DAY, give your self 3 weeks gaps the bodys weight veries each day and doing this will only put you down.
The more you eat the more your stomatch expands to allow for the capacity of food, hence why a skinny person stops eating sooner who is malnurished compared to some one who is also skinny but eats well.
Your brain needs to be retrained on how to listen out for those signals again, to you need to be patient.
Try this as an experiment...
Have a meal cooked for you eat it normally
Time your self and note how the taste is
Then another day have the same meal cooked for you
(PLEASE NOTE I SAY COOKED FOR YOU ON BOTH DAYS)
Then blind fold your self.
Time your self until the moment you say Enough and note how it tastes
You will be surprise what the outcome really is

Losing weight is more than just 'losing weight'. It is a lifestyle change; both Mental and physical. I have struggled with the same and through the years have gained, lost, and gained. And as I think of the times when I lost the weight, my emotional or mental attitude was different...more positive about myself and I felt sexy. Even during times when i was not attempting to lose any weight.. if i felt great and sexy and positive about my general life situation, the weight just melted off.
So start off with your mental attitude about yourself. Love yourself for who you are now and choose healthier selections. Easier said than done..and on a bad day when you chose the wrong thing (like i did yesterday with chocolate cake and McDonalds for lunch), start over immediately..say to yourself.. okay no more of that .. the next meal MUST be HEALTHY (so I had salad for dinner and drank lots of water the rest of the day) I am still trying...it's not easy. And yes ..to maintain any weight loss.. we must get active (walk, swim, park your car far away from buildings, do yard work.....just sweat.. atleast for 30minutes a day). Best wishes.

Not only do you eat less but eat smarter. Fruits and veggies are the best for someone on a diet. Also protein will help in muscle production. Excersise is a must along with weight training to tone up. Take all this slowly otherwise you may quit in the end.

My main tip: weigh yourself every morning. I know its not the one thing you want to think of when you wake up, but it will help you keep track of how much weight you are losing. Another thing is: for breakfast, have a protein shake but nothing else. At lunch time have a frozen dinner. Try to go for Lean Cuisine or Weight Watchers lunches. DO NOT EAT ANYTHING ELSE!!!! You might be hungry, but the less you eat, the less hungry you will be as time goes on. If you have to go out to eat try to get better meals. If you are craving a hamburger, get the hamburger, but don't get the fries. On top of all this, try to exercise as much as you can. It's hard, but in the end, totally worth it. Hope this helps!!!

There is no fast weight loss than the same thing you hear over and over. Start exercising, if it's hard for you, try dancing in front of the Television to your favorite music videos or listening to a favorite CD. Usually Hip-Hop or Pop music will help you sweat.
Remember to burn 3500 calories which equals 1lb of fat. Either you burn in a week or in 3 weeks is 1lb.. When I was over weight I made sure I burned over 3500 calories a week and the lbs came off fast. The more I seen come off, the more it inspired me to workout. Eat right, don't eat late and try to stay away from fast foods unless you get the salad at first. Good luck

This is how I lose weight. I had to take it one step at a time and one day at a time. For me, if I try to restrict myself too much, I would fail. First, I did not change from the foods that I ate. I just tried to eat less of it. I used to be a fast food junkie, and used to get the combos with all the trimmings. I then try to eat either have of it or get a kids meal. From there, I stop going to fast foods joints all together, and started cooking at home. I still tried to eat smaller portions, it takes a long while before your stomach gets used to eating smaller portions. As for as exercising, I used to walk on a treadmill, I started off doing 20 Min's, at a slow pace ( I was pretty heavy). Then slowly increase to 30, 45, to eventually doing 60 Min's on the treadmill. My advice is to go at it at your pace. If you stress about, you will fail. You know what foods to eat and what not eat. If you can't stop eating junk or high fat foods cold turkey. Try just reducing. Good luck.

I have found from experience that drinking at least 2 litres of water a day and just eating 3 sensible meals a day and some gentle exercise really does work. It isn't going to be a quick fix but it really does work. I have tried loads of fad diets before but they never last, this way at least you can maintain your weight when you have reached your target.

You should drink at least 2 litres of water a day, it's hard at first but after a few days your bladder will settle down. Now that its summer its quite easy to eat healthy with all the fruits and salads on offer.
Swap mayonnaise for vinigerette, try to cut right down on pasta, bread and potatoes or else switch to wholemeal.
snack-a-jacks and fitness cereal bars make good snacks as well.
Cut out coffee and fizzy drinks.
Join the gym or get an excercise bike.

IT'S EASY:
Cut out carbs for the first few weeks: pasta, bread, potatoes, rice. Also cut out all chocolate, biscuits, crisps, sweets, ice cream. EAT LOTS OF: vegetables, fruit, protein(fish, chicken, meat). Instead of alcohol, coffee, tea: drink more mineral water. Try and do more walking or swimming. After the first four weeks, you should find you've lost quite a lot of weight, and you can then begin to introduce some carbs back into your diet. REMEMBER TO CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING ANY STRICT DIETARY REGIME.
