Bad boys are most appealing to us when we are not ready to settle down. We KNOW that Mr. Bad Boy is not ready to settle down either, and so we go out with him, have our fun, and most of us move on.
We skip over Mr. Good Boy because we know that he's good and we'd have to break his heart (or our own)- because we're young and not ready to settle down!!! We know that it's Mr. Good Boy that we are "supposed" to marry, but at 18, 19, 20 years old (some of us MUCH later), we're not ready to marry, so we have "fun" with the bad boys!
It's a vicious cycle, but the ride is SO worth it!

This is not a crank answering (at least I don't think so), but I and many others believe that some people in the media/entertainment world are intent on lowering the values and morals in soiety, because they personally do not believe in anything that can vaguely be described as spiritual or religious and also because they have vested (commercial) interests in the lowering of these standards. They have many methods of doing this, such as excessive portrayal of sex and violence in their products, producing terrifying v.games(nearly always involving violence) and making bad guys look good and sometimes the good guys look like a wimp.
The scary thing is that I think they are making progress and the general public do not seem to realise it.

They are only the most appealing for those who haven't finished rebelling themselves yet. I once spent some time with a girl who was dating me specifically to annoy her parents because they didn't like long hair, heavy metal or tatoos. It was sad really, but she did pay for the drinks!

You ladies make me laugh. Always complain that there aren't any nice guys out there and then bang on about why bad boys are so exciting! Can't have both!

girls dont know what they want. When ever they get hurt by the 'bad boys' they always cry saying ' i just want a nice guy whos kind, caring, affectionate and funny' then go for another arsehole. Learn your lesson.
