That's a good website for the carburator.

If you've got a failed cooling system, you're running a very good chance of the engine overheating and then dying on you. Don't do it. This is not one of those instances when if it doesn't work it's still ok.

using a car with a failed cooling system - Catastrophic failure of the motor - the metal literally heats up to the point of either fracturing, melting, binding, warping, or all of the above.

The carburator is the fuel delivery system prior to fuel injection. It meters a specific (somewhat) amount of fuel into the passing air, which then flows into the combustion chamber to be detonated. If the carbeurator is not working properly, your motor will most likely not perform well, and may not run at all.

Well, first, the carburetor is not part of the cooling system. It's part of the fuel system.

If you mean "radiator," the results will be a disaster. Drive a car without cooling, and the engine will overheat and seize up in just a few miles. Then you call the junkyard and ask them how much they will give you for your former car.

if your cooling systyem doesnt work your car will diffinitely overheat and lock up...you should not drive it untyil it is fixed...
and if your carborator doesnt work then your car shouldnt be able to start...the carb is what sends the gas through the engine so it can run...it may be possible that there is something wrong with it and it might need some small repair but usually when carbs go out you have some work on your hands...but other than just getting worse your car will not mess up in other areas just because your carb is messed up but if i was you i would go to someone i trust to fix it...most places are outragous on the prices.

The block could crack or heads also. The Cat will also not report to the oxygen sensor so the car will idle rough. Dont know what the tow have to do with each other tho.

wow, the carburetor isn't a part of the cooling system. it's function is to mix the gas with the intake air. if it is not working properly the engine might not run and when it does, it might be very rough. lots of sputtering..
