Most democratic countries have freedom of the press. You can read whatever you want. Broadcast what you want and listen to what you want. In that mix, the government too has an agenda ...not unlike all the other marketers trying for your eyes and ears. The "government" agenda changes from time to time due to leadership changes, but the bureaucracy remains and its primary purpose it to perpetuate itself (job security - just like the commercial companies that want you to buy from them.) .. so much of government's marketing effort goes to convincing us of reasons to keep various agencies and departments as fully funded as possible. It is plain ecnomics. But, the key here is the government is only ONE of the many entities that compete for your mind - your approval - your sanction - and your dollar. If you feel in a sea of ideas and information, you are not getting enough information to make clear decisions or even marginal decisions, I am worried you may not have the mental capacity to be living in such a democracy where so many choices are available. It can just be too confusing. You many need to be in a society where the information flow is limited and you won't have to make all those decision that are sometimes the wrong decision (you only need to make about 51% good decisions to make progress in life). You may need to live in a place where somebody else can make all the key decisions for you. It would simplify things. Letting someone else control your mind rather than you controlling it will be a great relief, I am sure.

There are many ways.
TV is a big one. Commercials influence you to buy things that are bad for you. Have you ever really seen a commercial for just veggies and how good they are for you? No, you see all processed food.
Internet and magazines are the same thing.
Food coloring is very toxic to people....tiny doses don't hurt you right when you have it but over years and years it makes you sicker and sicker....yet the government allows it in our foods and animals.
Toxins in the water....Hitler did it and it worked. He put flouride in the water to make the Jews more docile, stupid. It worked...why do you think there is flouride in the water now? Yes there is naturally occuring flouride in SOME waters...but not all and not in the doses that the government is allowing in it.
Road blocks....they are becoming more and more. They say they are doing it for certain reasons yet they are doing it so you get used to it...one day...POLICE STATE!
The Media is another big one. They put in the news things that are GOOD for you yet bad for you. They also say things are bad for you but yet are good for you. They don't want you to have the good stuff because then it wouldn't make you sick and everyone knows that there is tons of money when you are sick.
Terrorism is another one. You think that 9/11 was really another country. Um, no. Our president was involved. You noticed that afterward lots of people were allowing the government to search homes and people for weapons. Right there that gives an excuse to take away the first and second ammendment.
