The signs are here, Global Warming is here and I really think people should try to start doing something about. I mean the signs are there, like the 3 most strongest hurricanes in U.S. history hit (Katrina, Rita, William) in a row, and I don't find that a coincidence. You can say the Earth goes through heat ups and cool down, but does it make sense to say that the Earth cooling down is causing a hole in the ozone layer? Ever since the Industrial Revolution, weather conditions started to change, and that's not a coincidence either. Global warming isn't something the government made up to scare people, you can tell it happening for yourself. Humans are causing it. Aren't you worried?? Are you going to do anything about it?? What??

Recycle.
Drive less: walk more.
Buy products that are organic, packaged in a more conservative manner, and try to set an example.
My town now has a curbside recycling program. Try to start one in your community.

I can understand the panic that you feel. Missionaries spreading the bad news of global warming are quite convincing. Now maybe I'll regret this statement when the polar ice caps melt and the ocean is in my back yard, but I really need more conclusive proof than a few people's opinion. My problem with the statement that weather has changed since the industrial revolution is that we have very few weather records from before the industrial revolution. Throughout history every group of people has had some "doomsday" theory, and yet the world plods on. I'm not saying that we are unable to destroy the earth, just unlikely. Mother nature does more to harm herself, and still manages to balance that out. I'm all for cleaner air and more environmentally friendly products, simply because I like the earth and I like cleanliness, but I am not for these things at the expense of humankind. Can't we find a happy medium, in stead of panicking and allowing legislation to take over and further encroach upon our freedom? THAT is where the fear of global warming is leading us. To more regulations.

There is a movie coming out soon that addresses this very topic. Al Gore is the major person in the film.
One person replied to you.... one person can't make a difference. Well, I think the number of responses indicates that there are more people concerned. Another person said that we should go to our governments and get them to work on it. That is a good idea.
In addition... we should vote for people who want to improve our environmental situation, locally and globally. Several industries are being affected by EPA standards.
Personally..... I try to carpool, walk more, combine errands in one trip, support companies that do the right thing when I have a choice in products, recycle, and anything else I can to protect the environment.

The textile industry is the largest polluter on the planet and their emissions are the biggest threat to the ozone layer. I do my part by refusing to wear synthetic fabrics such as polyester whose production is a major part of the problem.

The Bible says that things like Hurricans , countries (nations) fighting against each other, storms, volcano's erupting are the signs that these are the End of Days and people should repent and accept Christ into their lives!

Good question. Quite frankly ive been worried about the artic melting for some time. We need to get together and approach our governments worldwide because it seems to be all talk just now and no one seems to be doing anything.

The biggest single step we can take to curb global warming and save oil is to increase the fuel economy of our cars, SUVs, and light trucks. To learn about existing technologies that could dramatically improve fuel economy, and ask automakers to put them in their vehicles,

It is scary. The scariest part is that lots of people don't care. What I am doing is not driving my car when I can easily ride my bike or walk. I let people know what is going on...best thing you can do is educate people.
