it happens all the time.
singapore people are so educated that they think escalators have AI and operate at on-demand rates of descent.
basically no self & civic conciousness. singapore people are just plain rude.
very evident on roads!
not many wave a simple 'thank you' if his/her signal to filter left/right was given a way to.
WIND DOWN the dang window and wave a friendly wave selfish DUDE!!!
(this is not even counting those who do NOT signal at all. these asses oughta be fried on a complimentary roadside grill hosted by a Cop.)
or...just give way!
at least the driver bothered to show his/her signal.
by all means...ignore the punk who tries to cut your lane without any sign of intent!

If those people are aged people, it's okay. They have to "catch the rhythm" of the steps. If those people are youngsters or middle age, they did that for the sake of doing.

its very irritating! maybe its inertia, or maybe they didnt even realise that they're off the escalator. whatever it is, they aren't being considerate at all.
