no way!!
we'll just find new ways of transportation... also public transportation will also probably see a tremendous increase in its no. of passengers

No, gasoline has been around $5 per gallon in Europe for years. We'll just pay closer to the same price as the rest of the world.

As long as people are willing to pay the gas prices there will always be cars.
