do you think your life would be better, worse or the same if you would have taking the opportunity you passed up.

There are so many threads in ones' life that it would be impossible to fathom the number of "opportunities" one has passed up.

I went to a party I had no interest in going to and met my husband. We moved around in different circles so I doubt we would have ever had a chance to meet again in such favorable circumstances. How different would my life be now? I moved to a different state because of him, found a job at one of the best places to work - EVER! - and made lifelong friends there, after nine years there I'm able to stay home now with my 2 girls. All this because my friend convinced me to go to a party I had no intentions of going to.

All I know is that when I look in the mirror, I am proud. That is saying a lot. I believe that every decision one makes adds to the person you see in the mirror, and at the end of the day, if you can look in the mirror and be proud that's all that matters. There's no regrets in that.

I think I have passed up a lot of bad opportunities and taken up a whole lot of good ones. i am grateful for almost everyone i have passed up...i would be out of work, in jail or pregnant if i took up some of the "fun" opportunities.

I turned down a free trip to New York City and a mostly free vacation cuz I'd never flown in a big airplane. If It would have crashed, I'd be worse off. It would have been better for all the things I'd see and experience.

Countless. Everytime you take up an opportunity you automatically close yourself off from other potential outcomes. As for knowing what would have happened if... who knows. The only place to be is the present.

I know life would have been VERY different with some of the major choices I've made. I know one that would have been better for me, but no regrets.

I can't say what my life would've been like if I had taken the other road. But I'm happy where I am now, and don't have any regrets.
