Well, this really depends on what you want to do with your college degree and in general what you are interested in. I would suggest picking something that you are interested in and take that. Pick subjects that are required for your major, but also select electives that you find interesting or that you are curious about.

I dont think there is a 'best' course. it depends what you have an aptitude for and what you are interested in. the myths that law and medicine are the best courses is not true; if its only pay that you're after then computer science or programming is a 21st century course that will get you jobs within the IT industry. How about media too - no longer a mickey mouse degree. In the end, your grades and how good you are at certain things are the only things that matter when getting into a college, or so it seems.

English
I say this from experience. I taught a World Civilization class part-time for 17 years at an urban university. Essays and general knowledge of English play a very important part in passing the class. Writing clearly and intelligently is a mark of an educated person. English (especially composition classes) will help you as you progress through your college years.
If you cannot communicate clearly and intelligently, your chances of advancement and placement in good-paying jobs will greatly decrease.

Partying 101, which can be supplimented by Keg Stands 102. Seriously, take an Art at the 100 level, they are usually very easy and pretty much an automatic A.

The most enjoyable course and the only one that I ever wanted to take again was Interpersonal Communications. It's a kind of speech class for small groups to help you learn to communicate one on one better. It was the only class that was truly fun.

Comp--it helps with all the other classes--writing skills are by far the most important in college, and there is always room for improvement.
