Whenever my daughter laugh loudly she is getting hick ups within a second . I feel bad for this, because my daughter may feel uncomfortable by hick ups. From her first month this problem was there, when i consult doctor they said it is normal among kids, but now she is in 12 month almost a year completed but still she is having this problem. Can anybody help me to solve this problem

My daughter went through that for a very short time, but a year does seem like a long time. Does your daughter seem upset y it? Does she act like it's ever painful or does it make her angry? If so you might try talking to another doctor. If she doesn't seem to mind then it's probably ok. When she laughs loudly like that she probably sucks in a big gulp of air first, and that's probably what's doing it. She sounds like a happy baby! :)

my 2 year old did the same thing and still does if he gets a good laugh. yes it is normal and hick ups bother us more than them. the point is she is happy.

when your daughter laughs shes sucking in air and swallowing - that causes hiccups- it doesnt hurt-and it is normal

Actually, she sounds normal to me....I'm no expert, per se....but I have been in childcare for 13 years......don't worry, she'll be fine!

Trust your doctor. Hiccups don't hurt. Do they hurt you? If they do you should see a doctor.
