(I also believe that Sean Connery is the one and ONLY 007! The others are just pretenders to the throne.)
I like your choices of Johnny Depp (He's already proven that he could pull off anything!) and Eddie Griffin (He was hilarious in the Deuce Bigelow movies, and everything else he's ever done.). I also think Will Smith would make a phenomental Batman (Look what he did with "Independence Day" and the "Men In Black" series!)
On the way out, wacky end of the spectrum, imagine if Martin Short, David Spade, or the late John Candy were in the Batman role? I'm already rolling on the floor, just based on the visuals!!!
But seriously, allow me to put a new name on the table. Let me tell you who I think would make an ingenious Batman:
"The Rock!
He already has fantastic comedic timing (Did you see him host SNL?), and he's got that phenomenal body. They'd never have to create a fake muscle suit for him! I may have to start my own one-woman campaign for that!!!

Keaton was a good Bruce Wayne, but not a good Batman.
I always thought a young Alec Baldwin would have made a good Batman. Rough voice, looks Bruce Wayne-ish.
