I tried selling them for a few months. It was great fun and you get some freebies. I met some wonderful people.
I didnt have much luck getting people to do parties and stuff cause I am not much of a people person.
You must be a people person to do this.

I was considering them also, but in my search, I found a company were the candles are a "mixture" of soy, vegetable and beeswaxes, triple scented and they also have all natural bath & body products. I really didn't want candles with Parriffan in them. Of course, that was just my preference.
This mixture of waxes allows for the best performance in burn time and holding the fragrance to the candle is done. Unlike 100% soy, which we used to be, the fragrance will seperate from the wax and create a puddle.. unlike the "puddle" of the actual wax melting.
I chose this company because, I believe in supporting "Alternative" products that support people and our environment. Plus, the benefits in doing "my business" according to "my schedule".
Some of the things that attracted me were; personalized company web site, training (live, phone, training web sites, training aids, message borads, one on one...) for under $40 per month. If I don't use the products I get with that $40, I sell them. Anything else I want, I get @ wholesale.
When I started, I didin't even think I could "spare" $40 a month, but decided that the products and web site were a great way to get started on a budget and I had somewhere to send my prospective customers until I did build my business.
The greatest training I've ever experienced! Again, when it fits my schedule (in my home), daily support when I need that and a really nice way to connect with the other members & really build very nice relationships.
This is My Business! I'm not "working" for another company that tells me where, what, when, how much..... I can go back to the corporate work force for that
If you have any questions, feel free to drop me a line.

I love party lite products, to succeed as a rep you must stay committed to your goal. even though they are more expensive after your customers have tried the products and see what the difference is in burn time and quality of scents, ect, ect, they will realize like I did that you get what you pay for and the couple extra bucks you spend gives itself back in longer-lasting, better smelling candle. Good luck from a tried and true party lite fan for the last 7 years in south dakota.

My sister in law did this for awhile and didn't get anywhere with it because the stuff was too expensive and you can buy candles and accessories cheaper at dollar stores that look just as good if not better.
Try something different there are only so many candles one person needs!

i've known people to do really well at these jobs and some do really poorly.
it's all about your motivation and what you're willing to put into it.
i knew a woman who sold mary kay cosmetics and she made more at that than many of her friends did at their f/t jobs. but, she is the first to tell you that you make what you put into it.
i knew another lady who did the costume jewelry...she did well with it, b/c she is a natural saleswoman and was motivated to make it work.
i knew a girl who did pary lite and didn't do well b/c she just passed the catalog around at work and didn't really do much with it.
so, you need to think about how you're going to meet lots of people and sell your product!!
have parties with other salespeople from different products.
like, have a mary kay, longenberger and party lite party!
flyer cars and neighborhoods. there's an avon rep on my housing base that leaves avon catalogs on our doors every few weeks. i haven't bought anything from her, but i'm not opposed to it! and i don't mind the catalogs at all!
so, if you have good ideas for parties and how to be successful, then go for it!
take care!
